Social Acumen

Social Acumen relates to human tendencies in various social structures.  Social Acumen is flavored by Emotional Acumen, to identify dysfunctional assessments, tear down inaccurate perceptions, and optimize building of useful social relationships.

Perceived group prestige exerts a considerable impact on in-group member attitudes and has important implications for their perceived similarity to other group members and their desire to remain a member.

Ingroup attitudes, do not translate to predictable attitudes toward an outgroup; nor does it predict performance of an ingroup member participating in an outgroup.  Other variables than prestige, influence ingroup attitudes even though the outgroup is always liked less than the ingroup.
