Organization Structure and Governing Documents

Turn a shared purpose into responsibilities and operating relationships people can examine.

Integrated setup templates are now available

The PA Certification Organization setup hub provides coordinated model clauses for nonprofit Articles, Bylaws, an Operations Manual, independent business governance and licensing, satellite affiliations, and government programs. Adopt the shared PA standard and adapt the documents to the chosen jurisdiction and legal form before legal review and execution.

The proposed nonprofit

Develop and teach PA, maintain educational resources, assess demonstrated practice, and build sustainable capacity. Legal formation and certification operations remain development work.

Articles of incorporation

Define purpose, durable commitments, authority, and public service. Identify how activities and assets serve that purpose. This is a design outline, not filed articles or jurisdiction-specific legal guidance.

Bylaws

Describe membership, board responsibilities, selection, voting, conflicts, review, transitions, and record disclosure. Connect each position to contribution and examination of results.

Operations manual

Document proposal, assignment, support, review, correction, and continuity of work. Include ownership, licensing, resource allocation, publication, and participation. Procedures should fit within governing commitments.

Professional organization or club

Fellowship is useful. A professional organization also needs competence, sustained services, productive development, and accountable responsibilities. Identify what it provides and how members can verify it.
